Community Action Hampshire

The independent countywide support body for the voluntary and community sector

Community Action Hampshire is a Council for Voluntary Service and a Rural Community Council with over 50 years' experience of working with and supporting Hampshire's voluntary and community organisations.

It is our aim to strengthen their contribution to the quality of life of people living in Hampshire. We do this by providing specialist advice and information services together with practical help, encouraging equal partnership between the voluntary, public and private sectors, and providing a voice for Hampshire's voluntary and community sector and rural communities.

Our mission:

To strengthen and promote voluntary and community action

Our values:

  • To remain an independent advocate for the voluntary and community sector in Hampshire
  • To conduct ourselves in an open and transparent way
  • To be responsible to the needs and views of our members
  • To value the diversity of the voluntary and community sector

Our ethos:

Our ethos is that of community development work - to enable people and organisations to do things for themselves. All of Community Action Hampshire's work reflects this ethos and its strategic role as the countywide support body for the voluntary and community sector.
